World Childhood Foundation

The World Childhood Foundation was founded by Queen Silvia of Sweden and works to promote better treatment of children around the world.

CARTEL worked with ElternLeben.de to deliver 7 films, each raising awareness on issues surrounding the treatment of children. It formed the core of an online educational campaign aimed at young parents.

World Childhood was open to the idea of using some symbolism to tell these stories, which really gave us a lot of freedom to make some interesting visuals. We used this to good effect in our main film, titled Neglect.
A featureless parent walks by their child ambivalently. In the end the child is completely hidden behind elements of social media and entertainment.
